Stephanie Thompson has been teaching private piano lessons for over fifteen years. Her students participate in MMTA's Student Achievement Testing, NFMC Festival, Guild Auditions and have been winners at the Michigan Music Association competition. Some of her students have gone on to pursue music at a college level, and many continue to enjoy making music at the piano throughout their adult lives.

Stephanie received a Bachelor of Music in Piano Pedagogy with a Minor in Music Theory from Oakland University, where she also received a MaTilDa award. She also studied jazz piano with Scott Gwinell and Jeremy Siskind through Fullerton College in California.

Stephanie is active in many professional teaching organizations. She is a member of Music Teachers National Association, National Guild of Piano Teachers, and the National Federation of Music Clubs. She has been President of the Metropolitan Detroit Musician's League, President of Vivace Music Club, is the current Treasurer of the Michigan Music Association.

She is the pianist at Addison Township Community Church and accompanies Middle School and High School students at MSBOA Solo and Ensemble. She has been an adjudicator for NFMC's Junior Festival and MMTA's Student Achievement Testing.
